Bottle Rockets :: Day 70
This has been one of the craziest busiest weeks for me yet! And it isn't stopping here! It's great to make the time fly though, and I'm thankful to have a great camera to capture each moment so I don't miss or forget a thing!
Last night I made Alyx's bottle rocket, and then he decorated it. This morning we headed over to Fort Steilacoom to shoot them off with the pack! Alyx definitely had the best decorated rocket, but the engineer dad came in and showed us all up with his kids rockets. Very cool though. This certainly wasn't like the baking soda mix we made in science class in middle school!
Destiny loves babies, so Kate was quickly taken hostage and got to walk all over.
As much as Kate loves to walk and hold your hand, there comes a point (just like holding her) that she's ready to just run free. She was taking off from Destiny here. So funny!
Alyx couldn't get enough of shooting his rocket off. They pumped around 50-80 lbs of pressure into it and after pulling the cord thingy, it was off!
It was so hard to get a shot of the rocket taking off like this! I tried numerous times, but it turned out pretty cool!
Now I'm off to get ready to photograph the Hick Party, a fundraiser for the American Cancer Society. Very cool.
Love and miss you babe. I really can't wait for you to be here for all of the events! xoxo
