Framed 'Roses & Wildflowers'
While visiting my family out East, I tend to find my way to the garden, adding my touch when and where I can. One such spring, the skies were blue and my brothers were ready and willing to appease my desire for adding something ‘a little more beautiful’ (in the words of Miss Rumphius). The following season I saw the benefit of that day’s work and cut the first bouquet of roses I’d planted alongside self-sown wildflowers. This afternoon resulted in a wonderful sunny day together with family that I won’t soon forget. I’m grateful to have thought to capture the moment and in turn, share it with you. It’s one of my most beloved.
